Solar Eclipse Global Event. Time-Lapse Video Below

Don’t worry the world hasn’t ended, but it can be a sign of a new beginning! Solar eclipse of August happened when the Earth, Sun and Moon align, making the sun in midday turn into total darkness. Many ancient civilizations followed the eclipses over time very carefully. Some were even frightened of them.

Preparation was well worth it. We got to experience the global event. Even though where we were located in the world, we didn’t get to see a “total solar eclipse”. In the end, it was still worth it. It only happens every so often and it’s something that’s not worth missing.

Stood outside at Bechtel Park, Waterloo

Our experience was wonderful, and thanks to KW Telescope I had a custom solar filter made to mount on to my lens. Without it I would have harmed the camera just like those that looked up at the eclipse without proper sunglasses. It was quite last minute and I was grateful for them coming to the rescue.

In case you missed it or didn’t have the proper equipment to look at it, we have created a time lapse of the event.

Enjoy!
